Our History

Where we started
Operation Broken Wing began in 2010 as a grassroots fitness-for-charity event and has grown into a regional movement dedicated to making fitness accessible for all while creating lasting impact for youth and communities in need. From its early years of fundraising for local homes to mobilising hundreds of athletes and sponsors across multiple countries, OBW has proven that fitness can be a force for collective good, uniting people to move, lift, and create change together.

Where we're at
Since inception, OBW has mobilised thousands of athletes and supporters, growing from raising $20,000 in its early years to nearly $200,000 in a single edition in 2015. By 2016, the movement expanded across seven countries, collectively raising over $400,000 for youth in need. Over the years, OBW has partnered with schools, community organisations, and national agencies, building a legacy of mass participation and meaningful impact by uniting people through fitness to create change on a regional scale.
