THE YOUTH

Learners of today, Champions of tomorrow

EMPOWERMENT

THROUGH FITNESS

Our heart has always been about the next generation. OBW is made to empower marginalised youths through fitness. We believe that it's time to start building them up, empowering them through fitness and lift skills to tackle whatever challenges may come their way. This year is no different, through our beneficiary partners, Trybe, we hope to further than impact and broaden that reach!

FIGHTING FOR HOPE
AS ONE

Apart from raising funds for the youth of tomorrow, OBW also seeks to empower them with fitness. Teams representing various charities taking part in OBW annually, fighting alongside athletes of all ages and abilities. We believe that experiencing the community first-hand helps to build the belief that the youth are not alone - many others are Fighting For Hope for and with them.

TRYBE SINGAPORE

NON PROFIT, SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCY

Established in 1995, Trybe is a social service agency that empowers youths to overcome their adversities. Our vision is "Every Youth a Success Story". We believe that all youth can reach the fullest of their potential to live successful lives. Thus, we are united by our mission - to journey with youths who face adversities to lead purposeful lives; inspiring them to impact others.

Trybe, an Institution of a Public Character (IPC), is a member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), serves youths who are unengaged, facing mental health challenges and are placed in out-of-home care.. Our corporate values are resilience, integrity, service, and excellence. We are the recipients of the Charity Transparency Award in 2022 and 2023 and MSF Community Care Award 2024.

Over the years, Trybe has actively engaged with young people struggling with behavioural and mental health issues. Since 2011, Trybe has been entrusted by the Ministry of Social and Family Development to manage the Singapore Boys’ Hostel (SBHL). Our commitment extends to after-care for youth probationers and ex-offenders through the launch of Growing Resilient Youth in Transition (GRYT) in 2015. Through GRYT, we support youths who have left the institutions to integrate back into society.

To strengthen the reintegration of our clients who seek sustainable career paths, Trybe launched Building Eco-systems (BES) in 2020. BES provides career development opportunities for young people and helps them gain skillsets, experience, and certifications that will qualify them for long-term employment. In 2023, we officially launched our Counselling & Therapy Service (CTS), guiding many youths toward a positive lifestyle.
